A tragic road accident on Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) has claimed the lives of a father and his young child, leaving a family devastated. The incident occurred when a speeding car rammed into a water tanker that was reportedly engaged in watering roadside plants.
According to initial reports, the victims were travelling from Hanamkonda towards Bengaluru along with family members. The deceased has been identified as a 37-year-old software professional who was returning after attending a family event. His two-and-a-half-year-old son was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
The accident took place near the Pedda Amberpet stretch of the ORR. Due to the force of the collision, the front portion of the car was completely crushed. The impact was so severe that both the father and the child, who were seated in the front, died on the spot. Other passengers in the vehicle, including close relatives, sustained serious injuries.
Police officials reached the accident site shortly after receiving information and immediately initiated rescue operations. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where their condition is reported to be critical. Authorities have registered a case and begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Preliminary findings suggest that the tanker may have been moving slowly or stationed for maintenance work when the car collided with it. Officials are also examining whether overspeeding or lack of visibility contributed to the crash.
This unfortunate incident has once again raised concerns about road safety, especially on high-speed corridors like the ORR. Experts stress the importance of caution while driving, adherence to speed limits, and proper safety measures for vehicles operating on highways.
The sudden loss of both a father and his young child has left the family in deep grief, highlighting the devastating consequences of road accidents.
