India’s film industry is gearing up for its most ambitious project ever Ramayana, being made on a massive budget of around ₹4000 crore. This isn’t just a film, but a global cinematic attempt to showcase Indian storytelling on an international scale.
Produced by Namit Malhotra, the film is being designed with Hollywood-level visual effects and world-class production standards. Adding to the hype, Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is contributing to the music, making it appealing to global audiences.
Despite Indian films rarely crossing ₹2000 crore collections, the makers are confident. With a strong global business strategy, including pre-release digital and satellite deals, and a planned release in nearly 50 languages, the project aims to minimize risk while maximizing reach.
