A shocking and heartbreaking incident has come to light from Macherla, where a father allegedly killed his own daughter over her love marriage.
The victim, a 22-year-old woman, had married a man of her choice against her family’s wishes. Enraged by what he saw as a loss of family honor, the father reportedly planned the murder. Taking advantage of a moment when she was asleep, he suffocated her and later attempted to stage the incident as a suicide.
However, the truth emerged during the postmortem examination, which confirmed it was a murder. Police have taken the accused into custody and launched a detailed investigation.
