As high-level peace talks between the United States and Iran draw near, Pakistan has significantly enhanced its security measures by deploying a large fleet of military aircraft. The move is aimed at ensuring a safe and disruption-free environment for the negotiations.
With Islamabad set to host the crucial talks, authorities are taking no chances amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Despite a temporary ceasefire, concerns remain over possible escalations, particularly involving Israel and regional conflicts.
To counter any potential threats, Pakistan has mobilized fighter jets, C-130 transport aircraft, aerial refuelling tankers, and advanced surveillance systems (AWACS). This marks one of the country’s largest peacetime air security operations.
The deployment is primarily focused on protecting the Iranian delegation and securing key air routes, especially over sensitive regions like the Persian Gulf. Officials fear that any disruption could derail the peace process.
The US delegation, led by JD Vance, is expected to participate in the talks, while Iran will be represented by senior leaders including Mohammad Ghalibaf and Abbas Araghchi.
