A property in Hyderabad linked to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa has been sealed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) due to pending property tax dues.
The building, located in Srinagar Colony, had reportedly not cleared property taxes since 2017. As part of its drive to recover long-pending dues, GHMC officials carried out the sealing process and placed official notices on the premises.
The property falls under the Yousufguda circle jurisdiction and is registered in Jayalalithaa’s name. Authorities stated that strict action will continue against all properties with unpaid taxes across the city.
This move highlights GHMC’s intensified efforts to enforce municipal regulations and ensure timely tax payments.
